It's the thought that counts...

Geoff and I are humbled and overwhelmed by all the offers we have received for help. Neither of us knows how to graciously express this enough.

Normally we would appreciate the thought and politely decline the help; however, considering our current circumstances and all the offers for help we've received, we've decided to come out and say it. We really need the help, any help. Any and all ways you want to help are welcome and appreciated. We know its hard to know what is going to be the most helpful to others. So, at the risk of being too bold, we came up with a list of suggestions of how to best help us.

Kids:
  • babysitting

Pets (having our pets cared for and happy will help us immensely in the next few months...):
  • Sponsor a day of doggy daycare for one of our dogs. ($16 per dog/day)  http://houndhuddle.com/index.html
  • Sponsor a night at Cherokee Kennels for our pups ($42 for both big dogs/night) http://www.cherokeekennels.com/contact.html
  • Bad Dog Frida gift cards-we buy almost all of our dog and cat food, treats, and toys from this local store and they are kind enough to deliver right to our house  http://baddogfrida.com
  • Clumping Tidy Cat Kitty Litter-these can be difficult to buy when your shopping by yourself with two munchkins
  • Outdoor birdseed and Suet Cakes (big and small)-our indoor cats are entertained by watching the bird feeders as am I

Household:
  • meals (freezer meals, baking)
  • take out gift cards (favorites: Jimmy Johns, Subway, Chipotle)
  • Mowing/Raking/Yard Work

Emotional Support:
  • be a chemo buddy (hang out with me for whatever time you have available while I get my chemo treatments)
  • driver for chemo treatments
  • random cards brighten my day

If you are reading this, please know we appreciate everything, especially the thought!
